3rd Annual "Tiger Tri" Homecoming Triathlon

Please review before the race:
This race is open to the public and everyone is welcome to register. First-time triathletes are encouraged. If you don’t want to complete the race solo, then put together a relay team!
Triathlon Distance: ¼ mile swim, 15 mile bike ride, 3.6 mile run.
Start Location: Wittenberg University Natatorium on Bill Edwards Drive in Springfield, Ohio
Course Description: The race starts at 10:30 a.m. with a ¼ mile pool swim in the Wittenberg Health, Physical Education & Recreation Building (HPERC) on Bill Edwards Drive. It will be individual starts with a serpentine-style swim down-and-back in every lane. Bicycling goes on the bike path to the Buck Creek State Park area and back for approximately 15 miles. One aid station will be near the HPERC building and the second one will be at the bike turnaround in the park. The triathlon finishes with a 3.6 mile run (2 laps) around Wittenberg’s campus.
Cost: Individual-$40; Students and Military-$25; Team-$68 (All proceeds from the Tiger Tri will be donated in the form of scholarship money for students to attend Wittenberg University!)
Prizes: Each participant will receive a finisher’s tee-shirt. Prizes will go to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, the overall winning team, and the fastest male and female alumni.
How to Register and get your race packet: Register online by clicking the button above. Race Packet Pickup (and last minute registrations) will be at the Wittenberg HPERC on Saturday, October 12th from 4 – 7 p.m. and also Sunday before the race from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. You are required to sign a waiver when you pick up your race packet at the race location. Parents or guardians must also be present to sign for children under 18 years of age. Bring a license or I.D. Note: Helmets are required during the race, no exceptions! Please wear clothing for the bike ride. You will freeze if you jump on the bike in your swim suit! Long fingered gloves are recommended as well.
