Witt Night at the Springfield Symphony

I want to invite you to participate in the sixth annual collaboration between the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and Wittenberg University, Wittenberg Night at the Symphony. This events brings together members of the Wittenberg community and one Clark County's premier cultural institutions, the 71-year old Springfield Symphony Orchestra.

At the 2014 Wittenberg Night at the Symphony on Saturday evening, November 15, the Symphony will present a program of music "Celebrating Our Won." Members of the Symphony will perform as soloists, Wittenberg music faculty member, oboist Lisa Grove, will join with concert-mistress Suejean Kim in J.S. Bach's Concerto for Violin and Oboe. Following the concert you are invited to join other faculty and staff members, retirees, alumni and current students at MELA Lounge in the Courtyard by Marriott.

Witt Basketball Tailgate & Game
Come tailgate before Witt's Women's Basketball team takes on Aurora University. Alumni Shane ('09) and Amy Price ('08) will be hosting an in-formal get together prior to the game, starting at 10am. Food will be catered in by Alumnus Eric Hattori's ('10) 'Piko Street Kitchen' food truck. Fans will then head down to the Arena to cheer on our Tigers!

Playhouse in the Park

Join fellow Cincinnati alumni for A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted by Howard Dallin, Thursday, December 4, 2014. The Greater Cincinnati Alumni Chapter will host a reception beforehand in the Overlook Lobby at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m.

The Playhouse's version of A Christmas Carol combines faithful storytelling with spellbinding stage magic to bring to life its familiar story of a sinner given one last chance at redemption by four persuasive ghosts. A Christmas Carol's heartwarming message, hundreds of costumes and thrilling special effects help to make the show one of the Playhouse's most popular productions each year.

Running Time: The show runs approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes, including one intermission.
